6" or 8" w/ 3.73

Ive decided to go with Spirson for my suspension lift (spirsonoffroad.com) however i am uncertain as which lift to go with. Pricing is that same between the 6 inch and the 8 inch and im sure the 8" will look better with bigger tires. What problems should I expect by running a 38" tire with 3.73 gears. I do occasional towing to the river and the desert with loads ranging from 5k - 9k, and daily driving is primarely on the highway. Also, will bigger tires and a lift kit affect the reliability of the exhaust brake on the new 6.7? Thanks in advance!

id go with the smaller lift.. 37"s are just fine.. anything over that is just unrealistic for towing.. STOCK HEIGHT IS BEST FOR TOWING. any truck guy will tell you that. I've run 35"s on my last 3 trucks. and they are more than enuff, and thats including off-roading.

Stock is best for towing - I have 4.5" of lift and 35's w/3.73 and wish I had 4.10's for towing - seems like it would be a little easier on things...
