you are right, Ford offers the Powerstroke as well as the Cummins on their larger trucks, 450, 550 etc. now rather it will be in the 250 and 350 has yet to be seen by me.

you wont see me buying a flame thrower though, pure 6.7 CTD for me.

go to some forum, and read in gm section and even ford, you"ll see that its even worse compare to dc about the new emission systeme for them..
People talking how bad these truck I guess they are not going to buy a new truck never again. If they do from now on they going to be dealing with the dpf unless they found a way to take it off but they are going have a hard time getting inspected.

I test drove the new 6.7 with the Asin 6-speed auto and loved it. Incredibly smooth, more power off idle than the 5.9 (both trucks stock) and so very quiet. Nice for long drives. That being said, I just bought an 07 5.9 4X4. There was way too much electrical "junk" under the hood and the new emissions do not spell confidence. I like to run B20 also and can't put that in a 6.7 either. My 05 2500 with nothing more than a Triple Dog downloader, Banks intake and exhaust was so much more powerful than the 6.7 that I had to stick with what was proven. 500 miles on the 07 now and very very happy with my purchase.

Where's your dyno, when did y'all race????? This is the kind of BS I'm talking about. Let the #s do the talking. I think everyone is able to drive a 6.7L, we all know how fabulous they are or are not. A 6 speed tranny will make you think there's bigger ***** than what's really there. The dyno will not lie.

all is opinion, that"s it!! personaly if you want to have a "equitable" judgement, you have to own both!! but one thing for sure the rfe68 is far farrrrrrrrrrr superior than the 48re.....however (stock for stock) i didn"t really feel that the 6.7 is verry much stronger compare to the 5.9!! the rfe68 is verry the "key" and distribute so much well the power of the engine, that at the end, it take more power with the 48re to obtain the same in performance...there is not just the engine who make if a powertrain is good or not, its everything, the combination of all the component!!

personaly i would have liked to have a 5.9 with the 68rfe...could you imagine? a engine without the crappy emission systeme with the best transmission that DC a ever made!! it would have been the perfect combo in my opinion!!
