I don't know, his symptoms match mine from a west Texas trip in late april, I had started it way out in bfe and it was stumbling and pinging and sounding like it was about to give up the ghost, I was 245 miles into a fillup. I nursed it 30 miles back to town, and shut her down..... ate some lunch, drained the fuel bowl, didn't notice any water, but when I fired it up the symptoms were gone. I made it a point to go back by the fuel station I filled up at to verify ulsd.... and it was, at least it was labeled as such. No codes thrown, no water in fuel light, nothing..... Put over 1000 miles since then and no repeat, hope it stays that way.

aweful lot of people telling the exact same story here.....

I head that during the regen process, the exhaust is so hot it will burn the hair off your leg if you walk past the tail pipe...

Mine has done this twice. 1150 miles and again at 1550 miles. The second time I drove it straight to the dealership and left it running. They could not find anything wrong with it. Blamed it on bad deisel. I'm not convinced that it is a fuel problem. It's like the computer isn't timing the engine properly.

I like it other than this ghost of an issue.

If it was a fuel problem it would keep running bad after you restarted it, ya think?

I have put another 1000 miles on mine and it hasn't done it again.

I fired mine up last week in my driveway and it did it again, So I shut it off and started it back up and everything was fine. I do use ULSD every time I fill up. I live in California and the tree huggers wont allow anything else Had one other issue. My other half was picking up my daughter at school and she said the truck wouldnt start that it would just cranck after a little while when i was on the phone with her it started, I saw on a post somewhere that someone else has had the same experiance. Anyone heard anything.

These kind of post scare me. I went finally to look at some new Dodge trucks and I still see some 5.9's on the lot but with the 6.7l only a tad more expensive. Obviously I'd like the newer engine, but all this Regen process, and these problems I'm hearing on the 6.7L are scaring me.

There is a lot of little issues right now I belive a lot of them are new things the the truck dose like the regen that people are not use too ,also there are really no mods available yet. Hopefully DC will get the bugs worked out in the first year. I have 1100 miles on mine and I am enjoying it and the 6spd auto is pretty nice. Just my opinion. going to tow my 30ft. 5er this weekend for the first time so we will see, There is a grade that is about 7 percent and pretty windey. We will see how it dose.

same thing happened to me today.

Went up to line school (200 miles, all interstate) stopped and BS'd with the instructors for about 30 minutes. Started it, sounded like an old tractor - loud/rattly - and not so great throttle response until you got on it a little. I drove it 10 miles to the college, and really noticed it whenever I was coming to a stop or around < 20 mph.

Did a rolling restart in the parking lot, same thing. Parked, and gave her some skinny pedal - really hesitant.

Went inside, came out 30-45 minutes later and ran perfect. Drove home (200 miles) perfect.

Definitely was ULSD too. Filled up at BP before I left this morning. So this is definitely odd.

btw, it now has 1100 miles. Started with 700 this morning. So the "glitch" was around 900 or so

Is there a way to output the codes in the odometer? Used to be able to cycle the key from off to on 3 times on a few Jeeps I had.

When mine had this problem there were no codes thrown -.

No sure how to check for codes with the 07's. I doubt you will see anything, my dealer didn't see any errors when I shut if off in front of the service dept.

It hasn't had this problem since and I have almost 3500 on it now. Although I did have the DPF plug up and had codes for that. Not sure if it's related to my first problem.

did it again yesterday too...after sitting for maybe 15 minutes. Started it, didn't seem quite right. Gave it some gas and it hesitated big time, plus sounded loud again. Shut it off, turned it over again and it was perfect.

not sure, I'm going to try calling them tomorrow to see if they've heard anything.

I had the exact problem and the dealer fixed it. I did not throw any codes when it happened to me but this is what the tech wrote on the work order:

Performance check DTC-None found. No sel. No related TSB.
Flashed ECM to latest level the code P0192 became active. Relearned PIN/VEN/Milage-code still active.
606 WD94
736 flash TIPM to latest level. Now no codes. Software issue. Road tested 14 miles and ran perfect. Labeled hood.

I have had no problems since he did this. There is also a technical service out on this.

Well maybe they found the problem, now it will take a couple months to get to all the dealers.
