6.7 in our new coach, ?'s

We recently got a new midsize coach, 41 pass, no tag axle made by General Coach. It has a 6.7 rated at 280 hp with a B-300 allison tranny.

On average it will travel about 25,000 mi/year with 95% being highway. It will sit all summer (no school). Rocky Mtn Cummins will be doing the service, just had them change oil and filters @ 5,000 mi and the service mgr thought I was nuts. I also had them check for any programming updates.

What would you recommend for a maintenance schedule for engine oil & filter/fuel filter? Was thinking of every 10k miles.

Our other 2 Thomas buses w/ MB 900 engine get serviced @ 10k miles. 1 has dpf the other does not.

I would stick with the severe service recommendations or go off of oil analysis.

It says 9,000 mi on one page and then on another page is says 15,000 . I guess I will go with 10k.

10K is easier to remember.. Can't hurt anything at that rate..
