The most you can burn would be B20. The comman rail setups don't really like anything higher. Cummins does recommend a fuel filter upgrade to a 2 Micron filter. No doubt I would put off burning home brew or anything above B5 until you are sure all the querks are worked out of the 6.7. Losing the warranty on that truck would hurt for sure. Dodge only approves them to run B5.

There is alot of b15 on I10 florida to houston. I personally think all that b20 and less crap is crap. it cost more for less mpg. I like that good ole #2 diesel. but not in my 6.7. I need some homebrew where it cost 1 buck a gallon or i will buy my own filter setup. Warrenty?????, it will be gone in 6 more months!!! haha, they only give 100k, I will do that in 9 months.

Prior to the updated computer flashes, B20 would completely clog the DPF within 1/2 tank. B5 was ok. Haven't tried it since. I'd like to run B100 also, but I'll wait until warranty is up and then install a DPF delete exhaust kit before I do.

It has been my experiance that biodiesel burns cleaner than #2, why is it that the DPF would clog up with a cleaner burning fuel? My opinion, the opposite would be true.

Also let me note that I could care less about a cleaner enviroment. Its not gonna happen in my lifetime, my kids lifetime, nor their kids lifetime, and i dont think I should pay for it outta my wallet. I just want b100/homebrew cause it cost 1 dollar a gallon or I can make my own with a filtering kit.

My blieve is that manufacturers are worried about the "cleanliness" of Bio fuel. All I ever read is that good B100 runs a lot cleaner than #2.

Its not so much that biofuel is cleaner but gas is running out of supply or overseas is charging way to much so government is trying to find new ways to fuel. These new ways of fuel will hurt gas mileage but will make farmers rich. and there is vast supply. But takes alot of energy to make. Someone chime in here to help explain. There is rumors about this greener planet that its not supposed to help with pollution but to make goverment people also contracted with them more rich. Cause when did government actually give a hoot about us peons. Nobody cares about the future cause nobody these days will live in it. It all comes down to getting richer. Just MHO

Thats why i want b100/homebrew, i wanna get richer/save money. Just like anybody else. Nodbody really cares about spending more money and getting less mpg to save a little soot. I would rather blow a crap load of black smoke and save a crap load of money. THATS A FACT

EDIT, just like these new gassers with flex fuel E85. Has anybody actually gotten any yet. I know people who have and facts state ITS MORE EXPENSIVE AT THE PUMP, and YOU GET WORSE MPG. 2-4 to be exact. THATS CRAPPY.

EDIT AGAIN, So all you people who wanna save the earth but wont see it in there lifetime or 3 generations later, go spend your extra money on that optional engine that cost more for less HP and TQ and go find those pumps that carry E85 that cost more money per gallon so you can get worse MPG. THATS A FACT. NOT AN OPINION. Yes you will be making the earth greener but for us working men who like to enjoy life and not contribute to goverment propaganda, i would rather spend my money on my family and have a good life thus why im getting a smarty and ditching my exhaust next month. FOR BETTER MPG cause i spend alot of money each year on DIESEL where as I can spend that money on college for my kids or sorts.

U ONLY LIVE ONCE
Make the best of it!!!!!!

As noted in other posts, B100 if made correctly actually is cleaner burning and of a higher grade than #2 diesel. I currently run B100 and know of others, Ferd, Chubby owners that are running B100. I know the stuff is good because I make it at home.
There is only one drwback and that is that you may get hungry on the drive due to the smell of food following you around all day.

From what I hear that it makes your engine last longer.

Do you get better gas mileage???

I know for fords, 7.3 you get better mpg but the 6.0 you lose.

I wish somebody around here would chime in if they done this to there 6.7 but its prbably to early yet. Let alone if any company makes conversions
