4.10 and 35's

Hello
I'm about to buy an 07 with the 68rfe in it. I'm planning on running a carli suspension that raises the front about 3" so I can fit some 35's on it. Now my question is should I go ahead and get the 4.10 to keep the automatic in more of the proper gear range or would 3.73 be fine. What would 4.10 do to the gas milage on the highway overall? I don't drive very far but on trips it would be nice to get a little better. Most important what is the easiest on the drivetrain and the longevity of the trans. THank you

Thanks also would 35's clear stock suspension or should i wait untill i get the lift on. the rims i want have 5-3/8" backspacing so that should help some. Right now with 33 and 4-1/2 backspacing i barely clear my fenders. Are there any benefits with going with the 4.10, like acceleration or does it about even out. I could feel the difference going with 33's on my 05.

I would go the 4.10's, the tires (@35") are now heavier and larger the lower gear is like putting everything back to stock. You will find the rpm's will be more in sync for power. Accelerating off the line will be easier on everything, real snappy to. When I put my 4.10's in with the 36" tires the speedometer was back to where it should be as well.

3.73 great for a set of 33's, 4.10 great for 35's, 4.56s great for 36 37, 4.88 great for everything to a 44, I would recommend 5.13's for 44's though I like the super low crawling gears.

I run 4.10s on my 37's no loss of power, and plus if you want to bust mud holes you need the gearing to spin those tires, the 3.73s are more likely to get you stuck over the 4.10s

But of course I running about 480 lbs of wheels and tires...not normal weight thats why i went with the 4.10s.

But the 3.73s are great for mileage up to a 33, but anything over that you are just going to cause extra stress on your transmission and cause it to go out sooner than what you would like

410s are by far the best option if you are wanting to increase tire/wheel size

Go 4.10s for sure. That tranny has 2 od gears. If you tow anything at all you will for sure wish you had them.

If you plan on towing more than 12,000 lbs or so, or think you may end up with 37" tires, get the 4.10's. Otherwise, 3.73s are fine.
