3rd CAT plus Muff ???????
Just climbed under the new truck to take a look at all the discoloration of the two big O' particulate filters.. Then I noticed there is another Cat (or something) that is right off the turbo and before the Big O' deals.. What is this ? So is there 3 Cats plus the muffler ????
Can can I get a chant going.... whooo aaaaa whooo aaaaa CAN WE GET A STRAIGHT PIPE ?????

Its been said that several people have done it will no ill effects.... WHO KNOWS because they make the claim and then drop out of site on several different forums...
I'm sure ("I know") there are companies that are working on it right now.. I just hope a big manufacture will build an "off road" only straight pipe for our trucks that is a nice bolt on application.... I'm going to need the factory pipe someday for 'someone'..... I guess will just have to wait...
After tonight looking at now three CAT's how the heck can this work.... SUPOSADLY someone on a different forum has a straight pipe with the Edge or something and said his mileage has gone from about 15 to 20+ on Avg..... I'm sure it will happen, I guess I'm just impatient!!!
OK, now back to drinking more beer and reading!

I cant wait to see the (75HP) gains will get by putting on the new DRES (dodge-racing-exhaust-system).
I never got anyone to comment on the third Cat/muffler that come right off the turbo ether??? Does anyone know what this is or what the purpose of this is? Thanks!!!

Doing this would be against the law and defeat the clean air act that the manufacturers are all trying so hard to reach.
I know most of you guys that want to do this are in your 20's and pretty much don't care about anything past the next 5 minutes. But this stuff will effect you and your grandchildren in years to come. I would like to think my grandchildren can go to the beach without contracting skin cancer.
The clean air act will eventually help us all, but only if it gets a chance to work. I am not a tree hugger by any means, but I am old enough to see past this instant gratification phase that so many of us here can not.

Well first of all I'm a farmer/ rancher I work in dry pasture, were there is a lot of stuff to catch a fire and I don't want to set my whole opperation on fire an burn my cows and calves.
Second I have the truck taged as a farm truck and If it is a farm truck you shouldn't have to keep all that junk on there.
third ask any farmer/ rancher if they have a cat on a feed truck and they will tell ya no, "took that peice a crap off there."
These are my opinions so take them how you want.

Well my truck has all the emissions in place and black smokes as bad as my 06 with crazy larry on it it has gave out with only 10000 miles on it so yea all this emissions stuff is really working wonders. Fords chevys and dodges are all three having trouble with the emissions equipment and if a straight pipe will help my $40000 truck run like it should then im going for it.
I had been talking to a guy that is beta testing a edge with me and had done the straight pipe on his truck. All he did was put put all the sensor back on the pipe and he been running his truck for the past couple of weeks with no problems. I said on here I was going to do it but I got to talking to a service manger and he said it not like the old truck they didn't mess with the warranty but on the new truck the dodge rep I think told him it would void the whole warranty on this truck so I held off. I plan on a buying a 07 5.9 this week and get me another smarty I mess it. But if keep it I am going to do it I will let yall know. That the only reason I have not done.
I agree, but at some point you have to wonder how much emissions are given off by all the extra production of oil and diesel that is required to fuel engines that get 15 mpg as opposed to 20 mpg. That's a lot of extra tankers, trucks and refining needed to produce the extra fuel. Just something to think about. Is the earth benefitting or are the oil companies and the US goverment?
I agree with YOU.

Can we see ONE picture of this set up or can we get this guys Email so we can write [them] and ask nicely for a picture of this set up.... I'm still prodding (joking around) to see one stinking picture of these guys who say they "know someone" with this set up...... I have YET to see anything from anyone..... I'm not an Internet genius and don't have time to scour the net but there might be a write up on it somewhere !!!
