2wd, 6speed manual, 3.42 rear..mileage estimates
Looking at buying a 08 2wd quadcab, 6spd manual with 3.42 rears. What fuel mileage would you predict that thing gets empty and towing 7000lbs?

towing about 10-11 empty hwy about 16-17 ND round town about 12
After some modifications I am getting about 15 around town now but have not gotten her on the highway yet but most are seeing about 5 MPG increase after mods. Those were my numbers stock

I have a 08 6.7 QC 4x4 stick shift with 3.73s and I get 24-25 on the hwy 65-70 mph and 16-18 around town. I have found Exxon Diesel gets the best mpg and I have seen 13-15 mpg with Shell and Walmart diesel, so I stick with Exxon.

That is funny. The salesman filled it up at the Exxon down the street while I was signing the papers. I have driven it over a hundred miles today in the city just having fun. 16-18 miles per gallon like you said.
