285/75R-17's Rub??

Thinking of putting a set of Toyo Open Country A/T LT285/75R-17s on my 04.5 2500 Quad Cab. Stock chrome steel 8" x 17" wheels, no lift or levenling kit.

Will these rub at all? Will HD truck chains cause a problem with rear wheel liners?

Thanks
Mike B

I've never heard of any rubbing problems with those tires - they're the ones I'm looking at getting in the next couple of months.

Mine don't rub and I have plenty of room for chains...but I don't need them in NC beach country.

Same company so the quality should be the same. I love the Nittos I installed and they are just over 20,000 miles with about 75% of the tread remaining. I was up in Ludington, MI for Christmas and they did great in the snow.

No problems yet with my 315 BFG's, no leveling kit. I've bounced it pretty good in a mud rut last weekend and still no scrub on the body or suspension arms. Mud is getting bad here in WV.

I have those exact tires and have more than enough room. Next set will be bigger.

Got the Toyo Open Country AT 285/75R-17s. Then took a trip from Minden, NV to Baudette, Mn. Ran into some snow and ice. Tires performed well, not noisy, smooth ride, handled well and went well in the snow. Did not rub at all. Even seems to have room for chains. Will try them on later.

Anybody having issues getting the pinion factor reset for the bigger tires? I'm thinking about 285s for my new 08 Megacab that I am picking up this morning but if I can find some 315s cheaper I may go that route. I have run both before on my old 03 and liked both. BFGs both times..... Who has pics of all these tires you guys are talking about installed?

I have been told buy the dealer that bigest tire they can adjust for is a 285. I want a 35 inch tire but not if every thing is going to be out of wack.

I have 35's on mine. speedo is slightly slower (I estimate 5 MPH at freeway speeds), and the odometer is only logging 90% of my miles. but my 65MPH RPM's dropped by 200 and my mileage around town didnt suffer
