2008 seats firm?

Is it me...or did the seats in the 08 get a little 'harder'.

Not sure if the 05 was just broken in or what but the new seat in my 08 feels more like a board right now than a real seat after about an hour sitting in it.

They are hard.

But I find them to be comfortable. I have had the 08 for three weeks today and I have 2700mi, I am pleased with the seats. I did not think they would be comfortable at first.

You got a laramie,if so I noticed that the seats in my 2006 were softer than my 2008 when new.

My 04 had softer seats than my 07 but after a 2.5 week trip pulling my 11K 5th wheel I was much more comfortable in the 07 SLT than the 04 SLT. Yes firmer seats and more comfort. The YES fabric is great to I've spilt red wine and dark chocolate ice cream and it wipes right up with no after marks.

I noticed that with my 07.5.....seemed hard as a board compared to my 96. Ran the seat heaters a few times and wore in a nice butt groove...they're fine now.

My brother's company makes that material...pretty impressive stuff, mine took a nice coffee spill without leaving a single mark. They make all kinds of other good stuff like scent lock clothing so bambi can't smell you sneaking up on her. Best thing to me though is the fact that i don't get shocked every time i get out in winter. My work truck (pos 2007 silverado) shocks the living crap out of me every day.

What are you doing spilling red wine in your TRUCK? Sounds suspicious

At first - they do seem a little hard. But I actually think that helps n long trips. Too soft of a seat bothers my hips. I think they are fine. I also have a 2008 Durango which I've driven many long trips and its the best seating I've EVER had - does not tire me out.

The seats are very similiar.

I prefer hard seats, but I do not prefer sitting on the steel frame. After 45 minutes I feel like I'm sitting on the two frame rails with very little between me and them. It is bad and these are the premium seats. It is bad enough that I'll have to do something about it but I don't know what to do. There needs to be more support in the center section of the seat to keep you up off the rails. Any suggestions?
