'08' mega 2x4, 6 spd auto, factory engine brake.

engine brake surging: while slowing down using the engine brake, it lets off some, then applies again. this is after a forced down shift. about 2200-2600 rpm.

also while unloaded, using cruise, i feel a slight surge as the cruise is adjusting the fuel. it's not that much, but a steady throttle would give better fuel numbers.

are these items that need to be checked.

the truck is great, and i don't want anything messed up. while having a minor item worked on.

as this is my first new vehicle since '99'

Mine acts like that till it warms up. I don't think anything is wrong, just the nature of the thing.
