08 Six Speed Auto

I went to the Dodge Site to build a truck and the only rearend it would let me use a 4:10 rear end with the 6 speed auto. Is this the only rearend you can get with the 6 speed auto or can you get one with a 3:73?

My 07 came with 3.73 standard, 4:10 was a factory option, I'd assume it's the same way for the 08.

Were you attempting to build a regular pickup or Cab & Chassis ?

The 6 speed auto comes standard with the 3.73 rear end. I've seen the same thing on the website. It is a bit screwed up and doesn't let you select the 3.73. Just don't select any rear end option.

If you look at the window stickers for 08s in dealer stock, you'll see automatics with 3.73 as a sub bullet. The 4.10 will only be listed if it was selected as an option.

I think it is the dual rear wheels that makes it come with the 4:10. I was having the same deal

I love this auto. slicker than sn_t.

Really. This is a great setup. Every bit as nice as the Allison's I've driven.

My previous truck was a 2003 RAM 2500 Quad Cab w/305*555 and NV5600 six shooter. My 68RFE is a sweeeet shifting auto and I really don't miss the manual transmission at all.

I will hold off judjment till I can couple up my 33 foot camp trailer. I have a few hundred miles till I can do any towing. So far it is very smooth and easy!!

crap.. I ordered mine and chose the 4.10's cause I figured that's all it came with now. Everytime I tried to slect the 3.73, it would kick it from a dually to a single rear wheel. I hope I don't regret it. I plan on running the 22.5 wheels anyway so maybe it's a good choice after all considering the tires are 36" plus.

I like mine never thought I would say I like a auto over a manual but I don't miss that manual transmission one bit.
