Hey guys, Ive noticed that my 6.7 is having trouble retaining its oil and is making it a bad habit of leaving little spots all over the drive.
Leak is not bad, actually hardly noticeable. If truck is left parked for roughly two days then it will make an oil spot a little bigger then a quarter.
Now when me and Blake were doing all the deletes on my truck, we decided to investigate and noticed that it is coming off the oil pan on the rear of the pan. After poking around we narrowed it down to either
A. Oil pan needs to be torqued and is a little leaky
B. Rear main seal
Now since I am probably just not that lucky for it to be A and we just deleted my truck so the dodge place might puff their chest out about fixing it now I was wondering if anyone has ever changed the rear main seal? Is it hard? even possible? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Have to pull the tranny to access the rear main seal - it's behind the flywheel/flexplate... give the engine serial # to get the correct seal (2 types available).
Your 6.7L should be #5114027AA seal & #5086754AA gasket, list is almost $90 for both... book time is 4.3-5.7 hrs. depending on tranny.

I've replaced many seals myself over the years (on the bottom side of things) that did not need to be replaced as the leak was coming from higher up that I could not figure out at the time...

Shortly after my skinny lil Mega got the surgery to be a long bed I noticed a leak like what you are describing. I checked 
and tightened all the bolts on the pan. Not one was tight. Only a few were snug and most needed at least a half turn to be tight again. No more leaks...so far. About 110K miles.
