well the other day i got up and she wouldnt staying running so i towed it to the dealer they told me at first they can get to it buy the end of the day ,soo i call at 430 they then tell me that they wont get to it for another 2 days well got it back today prob was gelled up filter ,dealer asked me if i put any anti gel in the fuel ,i told him i dont put anything aftermarket in the fuel ,so he then says i should i then asked him if the ainti gel screws up my injection system will he warenty the motor still ofcorse he says no long story short i made him put on my reciept tha they put anti gel in my tank ,now i thought that companys put a winter blend in the fuel
Where have you been buying your fuel. If you have a Hess station near you I would try them. I believe Hess does add additives to the fuel. We have had some real cold nights up here lately and I've had no problems. I always fuel at Hess and use stanadyne pf.
DC/STAR recommend Stanadyne Performance Formula for these trucks. After two injector failures, they even put it on my INVOICE in writing! So, your Service Writer didn't know what they were talking about. I believe the PF has a pour point of -60 degrees. You might want to give it a try.
