why so hard to get parts?

my 05 blew up its t case. being fixed under warranty but they cant seem to find a t case anywhere. there is another at the dealer that needs a 4x4 motor(1500 prob) thaat one has been there 7 weeks waiting. my truck has been there a week. thaey keep telling me it has been released and that it should be here tomorrow. but when i call back thaey say they can't find where it is. what is going on with parts for these truck? are they building the parts as they are needed? i am looking for insight as i plow, i need to figure out if this will be long term waiting, if so i need to secure another plow truck or something. thaanks for any info as to what may be going on.

not sure about yo[U], but i would be looking into a used t case, and when the new one comes in, you will have a spare. i ordered a rear yoke, and they told me it would be couple days, took over 3 months to get that part. i ordered it from buffalo, cause here in Canada, they told me i would have to buy the complete drive shaft.

no idea really, but i am sure it would pay for it self in the long run.i kept calling the dealer, and they would tell me, yup, its here, drive across the boarder, 2 hrs away, and then find out its not there. i did that 3 times before i finally had enough, told them to just give me my money back, and if it ever shows up, i will think about coming back to get it.
