To whom it may concern.....

Because of the knowledgeable people on this board, I was able to do the service writer and tech's job for them. After reading about the transmission TSB reguarding 1-2 shift hunting, I printed it and took it to the dealer. All went well and truck shifts better than it ever has. The service writer had never even heard of the TSB, and even started to refuse to look into it.

Thanks for the help; this is a great place! That is all.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled programming....

That's what forums like this are all about! I too had the 1-2 shift hunt. Took it in and now fixed.

Keep reading and learning about these trucks! Lots of neat little mods that make them more user friendly!

I credit this site for getting my lift pump replaced by the dealer too. I would never have asked for a repair at 75k miles unless I had seen it here.

What is this about a 75,000 mile lift pump replacement? Please inform me.

The "man bites dog" thread has the whole saga, but the short answer is my lift pump died at 75k miles, warranty had previously been voided due to mods, but the dealer upgraded to the in tank pump for free nonetheless under the 100k mile engine warranty.

Ok, i thought you were saying that they replace it at 75k miles regardless whether it fails or not.
