Who has the best water pump? Codes ????

tonight we heard a weird noise in the engine and pulled over to check it out. it look like the pulley on the waterpump is loose according to the diagram. if this is the water pump how much to replace it? and how hard is it to do myself? also some codes came up. P 0602, P 0483, P 2509

Always a day late, and a dollar short.

Just remove the belt and two bolts and out she comes. Cost depends on where you get it. Carquest wanted $80 for a reman, Cummins wants $140, and the dealer, something like $200. If your coolant has over 100k, might as well do a coolant system flush.

i paid around 45 dollars for a reman, have never had to use it yet (it's behind the seat)
P 0602, powertrain control module programming error.
P 0483, fan performance
P 2509 ecm/pcm power input signal intermittent

I had bad luck about OEM Bosch pump from RockAuto:
http://www.dodge.harjutie15.com/copp.../album=62.html

New pump installed, and when running engine warm pulley loose, as you can see. Serpentine belt went broken, also fan has some damages...

RockAuto take guaranteed for the pump very good! They shipped newones at once even here in Europe, but all extra work and fluids etc. I must pay again my own.
I Don't mean that it was RockAuto:s fault, but new parts may broken as old ones....

I went to O'Reilly and got a new pump for about $45. I think it's lifetime warranty as well. Simple to change. The pump itself is a very simple design.

Looks like I have developed a leak at the water pump myself. After staring at it for a little bit how hard will it be to change? For 1 thing it looks like I have to remove the alternator to get to it. But after that it doesn't look to difficult. Or am I mistaken.

The belt tensioner is right below the water pump put a breaker bar in it and pop the belt off. Dont let anybody charge you that. That is a piece of cake to change.
