Whining Noise
Whining Noise
Switched to synthetics over the summer, now the temperature drops down to 10 deg (F) and I have a whine when I let off of the go pedal. Not sure if it is trans or rear end. Is this normal given the temperature? I went with Vavoline at the weights rec by Dodge.
since it is a long bed, it has a carrier bearing on the driveshaft. while you are looking at the ujoints, check the bearing, possibly it is going bad, or something may be caught in it. i found a ratchet strap caught on mine, and polished up the driveshaft. it wasnt my strap, wonder where it came from?
