Where to buy new motor??

Where is the most cost effective place to buy a new long block for a '06 5.9 standard transmission?? #2 cylinder is melted on current one...bad day here!

Time is basically my issue.....that is why I am jsut looking for a long block to drop in. Does Cummins sell these engines rather than the ******* dealer?

Try a salvage yard too. I've seen some nice motors in some newly mangled trucks in there...

Sorry to butt in, but i just don't have reciets and they voided my warranty.

Depends on the dealer. The replaced my water pump under warranty about 4 months ago, even with all the crap on my truck. Didn't even bat an eye.

The local Cummins dealer here said they will sell a brand new CR engine complete for about $7K. I would check your local Cummins dealer.

i second the vote to go to cummins that way you got there warranty nation wide and they know their motors
