I've slowed down and don't drive unnecessarily.

As far as the government goes, they do have the power to do something. For starters they could remove fuel from the futures market. Watch how fuel will drop in price near the November election. I know it won't be the government doing it but the oil companies don't want the dem's in office.

Why don't we make the tree huggers walk! I'm for the environment but I think we can drill responsibly in environmentally sensitive areas.

Oh well... until someone does something we'll keep putting $130 in our tanks.

Honda

Bought wife Honda Civic. She drove 06' 2500 as daily driver. Had VW car diesels in past but tired of waiting on them and fuel cost differential continues to grow. Ram, right now reserved for fun and towing travel trailer.

Till then The VW TDI is helping.

Soybeans will be making diesel now that the price break is almost met ($4.25) IIRC. Also reclaimed rubber tires are supposed to be profitable at $4.25 a gallon.

We just waited o long because the BS corn growers and the E85 garbage. Alcohol from corn is NOT the way to go .. Better BTU to acre in soybeans, but no government subsidy

3 things have hurt us

1) Fuel cell. (it is not as good as burning the hydrogen in our internal combustion motors .. But we spent years and billions with a piece of garbage fuel cell. using hydrogen to make electricity instead of just burning it. How stupid.

2) Ethanol .. Farmers and corn. That put us back 10 years or more. We should have been growing soy beans and making diesel. Corn rapes the soil and has a horrid BTU to acre ratio

3) EPA and DOT will not let us drive things like the VW Polo. at 60 MPG.

I blame the democrats for all of the above. If California let the VW Polo's in they would not have any pollution problems and would be burning 6x less fuel. But because they are not "green" and a H2 is.... well... you get my point.

I am looking to get a little geo tracker or something small to put the 55 mil's a day on threw town and leting the 2500 set till the weekend. I am also thinking about making a little biodiesel if i can find the stuff to make it for a good price. If I can find a toyota pickup I may try to drop a 4BTA in it.

Sounds like a plan !!!!

It's not really a company card, I just buy with my personal card and then expense the receipts. Then, wait a month to get reimbursed.

also, I can only use for my work truck :/ Chevy gasser.
