What to use for Maintenance Logbook after 100k

I just finished with 97k mile service and the last page of the logbook on schedule "B" is 100,000 miles. What are others doing after that. I could make a excel spread sheet or try to buy a logbook. Any other ideas are welcomed. I already did a search and didn't find anything on this topic, it could be the operator tho.

I use excel for maintenance, repair, and fuel logs. With a little work in tying the sheets together I can tell exactly what every mile costs me. If you are serious about it, scan the receipts into the computer as well and you can insert them into the file. The thermal printing on fuel and parts receipts kept coming off on me and I didn't know what I had. Warranty parts were tough when the receipt had become blank.

That's where the ol' pencil and paper come in handy my friend!!! Myself, I'm not real computer savvy. I prefer everything handwritten....call me a young old-fashionist . I keep a lot of mileage and date issues in my head .....God forbid I ever fall and hit that thing on a rock !!!! As far as part numbers go I just use a MicrosoftWord Document to keep track of it all.

I have a typewriter for sale if you want to move up a few decades.
Good for you if you can remember. I just can't do it and I'm always nervous about missing an oil change if I don't write them down.
Have you ever tried an industrial strength sharpie? The nice white Napa Gold filter cans are easy to write on for the equipment on the farm.

I was afraid it was going to take some time & effort on my end .

Thanks for the input, I think the best route is the excel sheet and use the Ram logbook as a guide. I think Office Depot has something like that but would probably not apply very smoothly to the truck. Typing is not my strong suit but what the heck.

Bought a small ledger book when the truck was new and I keep it in the pocket in the drivers door. It is easy to record anything done to the truck and miles, fuel and cost. That book has the complete history of the truck.

Try this http://www.alembx.com/
FleetVIP Fleet Maintenance Management Software. I have been using it since my truck had 28 miles on it. Works great

I guess I'm just jealous of all you guys with relatively low miles on your trucks. I put over a 100k on mine in less than 9 months ......225k overall in less than 2 yrs. Talk about a sore behind!!! Now that the truck no longer "works" for my living I've managed to only put about 60k on it in the last 7 yrs.

I never used the dealer book anyway since I do all of my own maintenence. I kept and still keep a 3 ring binder with everything in it. ALl receipts, dates of services, etc. When I sell my trucks the new owners are very apopreciative. I just hand them the binder.
