What rear end do I have

I recently purchased a 3500 Megacab w/5.9 manual trans and was wondering if the VIN or something else would tell me my gear ratio.

If you look in your glove box there will be a sticker in there with your build options it will also tell you your rear axle ratio. Would look there first.

Look for a sticker inside the glove box. Welcome to the site.

Yeah, no sticker in mine either.

It will say on your window sticker if you still have it. I think the 3.73's are standard and the 4.10's would show up as an option.

What are your RPM's while cruising at 70-75mph?

Your dealer parts department can give you a build printout, that's how I got mine.

If your truck is new, it will have the G56 manual transmission. Those only come with a 3.73 gear ratio from the factory powered through an AAM 11.5'' rear axle.

The auto trucks can get 4.10s as an option.
