What material are 5.9 exhaust valves made from
Hey guys,
Anybody know what material (alloy) the exhaust valves for the 5.9 engines are made from? Are they solid valves or sodium filled?
Thanks,
Tim

From an 04 manual:
"The valves are made of heat resistant steel and
have chrome plated stems to prevent scuffing. Each
valve is actuated by a roller rocker arm which pivots
on a stationary lash adjuster. All valves use three
bead lock keepers to retain the springs and promote
valve rotation."
