Anyone have a sound clip? I have a pretty pronounced knock at highway speed; my friends (ferd and chebby guys ) say "sounds like a diesel" and don't worry. I might just be paranoid. Oil looks good (no fuel) and runs like it always has with no smoke but engine sounds louder than it ever has.

Anyone in Central Ohio wanna drive my truck around and tell me it's OK?

I'd hate to take it to the dealer and pay them $$$ to tell me nothing's wrong! I put some power service through it and towed about 12k over the weekend and it sounds about the same. I'll try to get a sound clip if I can.

 

when the number 2 injector went out on mine it sounded like there was a little man sitting under the hood hitting the block with a ball peen hammer. that is the best way i can think to describe it.

Wow. I guess if I really had an injector knocking there would be no doubt, eh? Wonder why the engine got louder all of a sudden... must just be my ears. Thanks folks!
