What do you guys think of this truck?

Its got more miles than I want, but its clean, very clean, 2 owner truck both of them 1 town away, the last owner purchased it with 40k on it, he plowed his driveway with it, or at least that what was said.
Now I was told to stay away from trucks that plowed but the undercarriage looks immaculate, truck drives great, better than my 2nd gen, its also got a Juice with the monitor, im gonna look at the build date and if its early enough possibly talk with him about swaping my DTT into this one, what problems should I look out for? and isnt the 03s known for bad injectors? I have used Autotrader for a while now and the prices seem to still be holding up pretty good, but we will see if he wants to deal.

The 03/04 are known for the GOOD injectors. No cat,no third injection event and if 305 h.p. and auto its the 48re trans. What H.P. are these trucks.

My buddy has an early 03 that still has the 47re in it (SO = Standard output (250 hp - 45 states), im hoping this one is as well, he purchased his truck from the same guy.
When we dynoed his he did 198hp stock, then with his Smarty he did 377/769.

I looked at the vin # on the truck you are looking at. It is the standard output 250hp since the 8th vin # is not the letter C. I believe the if the 8th position in the vin is the letter C then it is the HO motor.

Thanks Pete, Houndog the reason I want that particular model is because I have a very nicely DTT equipped trans in my current truck that will swap into the already 47re equipped 3rd gen.

I normally stray away from vehicles that have been used as plow trucks. I know when I plowed it was hell on the transmission. Alot of back and forth, low speeds without the ability of the air to cool the trans. Also, the extra weight on the front of the trucks usually wears things like the ***** joints, etc.

i agree, plus i'd be leary of a truck that's only about 4 years old, that's already had 2 owners.

Check the HOURS and divide into the mileage to get average speed trucks been ran. Also get a dealer to run the vin and see if any warranty work jumps up.They ALL (most anyway)look CLEAN after a good detail.
