It will allow you to advance your timing 2 degrees. This will improve your MPG about 1-1.5 mpgs and give a small amount of low end torque. Mine had a noticeable improvement in power when I let out the clutch. It's worth the $70 for the Rokktech.

is any programmers or boxes that you need to stay way from because of the advanced timing?

With the Rokktec I feel a little more low end grunt. The tone ring mod accomplishes the same thing. The general concensus is with no chips it provides some benifits. With a chip, some say it advances timing too much, others say no problem. Personally, if I was going with and

Timing is changed with the roktech. It moves the postition that the sensor is actually mounted, therefore changing the timing. Timing is changed to give better performance and MPG. I would not run this with any other mod that changes the timing due to the fact that too much timing can cause serious internal engine damage. If you plan on buying a module or downloader, then make sure what it does before you add it to anything else that mods the timing.

I just bought and installed the Rokktech sensor last weekend. This weekend will be the first time towing with it and my 12K# Toy hauler. Have to say once I installed it and drove around the neighbor hood a bit it did have better low end punch. I don't know about mileage yet, my overhead actually went down by ~1.5mpg but that could be because I kept getting on it to see if I could tell the difference. As far as my research found Rokktech is the only manufacturer. I would recommend it rather than modding the tone ring as the sensor is just easier and quick to install. After the fact if I could have understood the pics on DTR better I would have used a dremel and mod'd my stock one to do the same thing.

Anybody here with a completely stock truck (like mine) with the rokktech, and did you see any mileage gains?
So far all the people I see with it in thier sig line have other mods as well. I won't be ready for any other mods for about another 3 months but this seems like a nice cheap mod I can do right now.
