My 05 has 45,000. Lots of rumors about inventory reduction at the dealers. Some excellent deals on the 5.9's to get rid of them.

well the lower the better had acustomer get an 06 mega cab 4x4 loaded pretty nice with 60k on it for 23k so theirs an idea. the last 3 used trucks i have bought have been off of autotrader.com saves a lot of time plus you can compare prices around the state

Anything under 75k would be great, I have an 04.5, and I'm just over 67k, I don't drive that much.

Really, as long as they are taken care of, it's not that bad to go over 100k. The truck will give out before the motor does. Look for one that has not had mods on it. Big tattle tale is an EGT probe. "But I just wanted to monitor my..." Right. Check the exhaust manifold. If it's tapped...

HTH...

However, dealers are trying to get rid of brand new trucks cheap. Get a 5.9, not 6.7.

You are holding alot of cards right now if you are truck shopping. If you are financing you may find better deals if you are buying new than used, especially with the current condition of the auto industry. Probably worth your while to get online/call around and see what dealers have in stock.

Dont forget about the 2007's

Not all 2007's are 6.7L

The model year was split for production. You get a 5.9L with all the benefits of the power and no crap@** emissions.

You should look for a used 2007 SLT 2500 HD with Auto 4x4 Quad cab.

It will suit your needs and can pull a house.

18-22 miles per gallon but yours will vary.

Don't just look at the truck dealers

Many band wagon truckers bought fully loaded diesels during the 2005-2006 craze and then decided they didnt want to pay 4.75 a gallon for fuel so they sold in the last few months for a KIA or Hyndai. Look on those off brand car dealerships. You can find many deals but look before the weekends.. wholesalers cruise dealerships and buy inventory to sell at auction.

You can find what you want for 22000-27000 for a 2007 5.9L SLT with under 20000 miles.... no doubt.

I would try autotrader and e-bay and just narrow the searches within a comfortable driving didstance from your house.Dealers list on e-bay so don't think it's just private for sale.

Try this http://www.usedcars.com/ and this http://www.cars.com/go/index.jsp. I am not that far from you and they list several at both sites that are near you. As some have already said, buyers in the current market are hard to come by. You are holding all the cards. Never pay what they are asking for the truck. Don't let them give the BS line about it being a special internet price and they can not go lower. If they don't want to come off the price, walk out. You are holding the cards they want. I had a dealer at Bastrop try to raise the price by 5k when I got there. Know the internet price of the vehicle that you are going to look at and others that are similar in the area before you get there. I bought one 2 months ago by searching the internet. The prices have come down even more and I'm wishing thatI would have waited. Good Luck

My 06 is just as it came from the factory except for pyrometer and the boost guage.........all I want is to monitor things. As a long time 18 wheeler driver, I know this is very important even with a stock motor.
