You've still gotta be carefull of the bowties, although the new LBZ's have more power alot of the 06's on the lot's were built before the LBZ was put in them. My friends 06 is in the shop right now, he's got the older 06 motor LB7 or something, waiting for 3 new slugs and a pair of new heads from the glow plugs breaking off. He's kinda happy cause it looks like Checy will be buying the truck from him and putting him into an LBZ, I told him to get a Cummins!

If you're talking trucks with autos I wouldn't get to excited about HP, with the amount of 'torque management' being used. The fancier the engine and tranny, the more torque management is being used.
