I haven't run the DD clutch so I can't comment on that. I have the Con Ofe and have been happy with it so far. It is a little grabby but not too bad. I can for the most part drive around that issue. I have dynoed my truck with the clutch and a Smarty Jr and got 414 HP and 747 TQ and she holds just fine.

That sucks.
Every time someone asks about a clutch there's always a few people who recommend the 3250 DD but I've been happy with my OFE. Hopefully you get one of the new design ones which are quieter but they just started making them a couple weeks ago.

So the 3250 is grabby? How noisy is it?

Let us know how you like the OFE, when I first put mine in it felt like it was not fully releasing, was hard to get into gear, especially 1st and reverse. I called SB who said it would improve after a couple hundred miles and it did, feels almost like stock, just the slightest bit more grabby than stock.

Thanks for the input on the OFE, hopefully it is 100% better than the Dual disc. The dual disc is very grabby, it is either on or off. I always used to start the truck in 2nd (unless pulling) and don't recall ever killing the engine. Now i have a difficult time starting out in 2nd without really babying it! It is very frustrating, and neither myself or any of my employees can drive the truck worth a crap now.

It also grinds into second when the truck is still rolling and you try to grab second . Yes the DD is very difficult to get into gear as well!

If I had known how loud/horrible sounding it was going to be from the get go i would have never even considered it. It makes my truck sound like it's on it's last leg! I can't imagine trying to convince someone or a dealership that the sound is normal upon trying to sell/trade in!!!

Looking forward to getting it swapped out after a very frustrating summer of pulling with the truck. I know this clutch is mostly built for mod/big hp trucks, but honestly i can't even imagine any of those guys loving this clutch. I can't even shift it fast enough, to grab a gear pulling minor grades, let alone shift fast enough to hot rod/race around.

Definately do not get the DD if you like the stock clutch. I was perfectly happy with the shift/feel of the stock, and this thing is night and day different!!!

I'm looking at a new one soon and it looks like it's going to be the OFE. I did however drive a 3250 SBC and found it to be stock like unladen. The neutral racket is what drove me nuts. Glad it worked out.
