Went and did a thing
Went and did a thing
Hello all!
First time posting in the 3rd Gen groups. Bear with me, as I make the transition from 12 valves to 24. Used to lurk around here back in the day in the first Gen section. Sold both of my first gens, bought a house, got married, have a few kids now, small farm....
Recently picked up a steal of a deal... Low mileage 2005 3500 4x4 crew cab dually. Only downside, she's an auto. But totally un touched, zero mods, well maintained. Yada yada yada.
Shortly after purchase, went through it well, hitched on to our gooseneck horse trailer and took it on its first 800 mile round trip. Absolutely loved it! It's certainly quite the upgrade from my old 12 valve, power, comfort, fuel mileage, AC, and the wife loves it, thankfully.
Last Monday, she even hauled a friend's sick ferd "6-no go" dump truck on my gooseneck flatbed. Performed flawless considering the hills, and the conditions.
Now for the Questions...
The AC, seemed to come and go. It was cool, but would go through random spells where it would actually get cold, like it should. Where do I begin?
Considering FASS, but like AirDogs method of going through the canister. Not a fan of drilling the tank, and the 1/4 tank issues. Opinions?
48re, left bone stock, it seemed to do great, but are they any count in the long run? I have no desire for tuners, and I don't beat the truck from stop light to stop light.
Thanks! Feels good to be back.
