Well, this will take awhile. But I'll try to explain as easy as possible. The other day a noise that I eaither didn't notice or just started became apparent to me. I was doing some full throttle 20mph roll-on race testing with the tranny in 2nd and conv locked. I noticed that I had a weird popping sound that I thought might be tranny shudder in the 1st couple seconds under heavy load in 2nd gear. Almost like an exhaust leek. Did it real bad the 1st time i noticed but not so bad since. Called Dave and he said it didn't seem like a trany prob. After reading a few threads about head gasket failure, I'm worried this might be the case with mine also. But the more I hear it I almost think it's just the exhaust pulse under heavy load transmitting thru the tranny tunnel.

What do you guys think?

 

Could you be draining your rail? Do you think it is possible the CP3 is not keeping up with your mods? Just a thought.

 

That only happens at high rpm's not at the low rpm's under load which I'm experiencing. I've never had the dreaded fuel rail popping others have had on the upper end. But thnx for responding.
