Weeping coolant!!

My truck is weeping coolant from the hose that connects the radiator to the overflow. It drips right where the hose slides over the fitting on the back of the radiator, and forms a puddle in the mold of the air box cover. Is there a TSB out for this?

Never seen a bulletin for that, but I've noticed that connection often gets snagged or disturbed when the air box cover is removed. I've often secured it with a plastic tie-strap used as a hose clamp.

Slap a hose clamp on there and you're good to go. It's a know issue with our trucks.

After a while the elasticity of the hose weakens where it slides over the bib below the radiator cap. When this happens the connection starts leaking. Mine did it a couple months ago just after I installed my bypass filter. I got under the truck to check for leeks and found a coolant leek instead of an oil leek. Like everyone says, just put a hose clamp on it like the factory should have done in the first place.

I don't think I'd bother. The hose clamp should take care of it.
