Water Pump Question

Does the WP on an '07 Cummins 6.7 have a "weep hole". Got an intermittent coolant leak dripping off the alternator - exhaust side down low and can't see where it may be coming from. The coolant inlet and hose look clean.

You might try posting in the 4th Gen section where the 6.7 owner's hang out.

I can't answer your question, but have you tried just feeling the bottom part of the water pump to check for moisture?

Good luck!

My 2006 {5.9} has a weep hole most water pumps do. With mine it was an easy and not expensive to repair if you do it yourself.

The 2007.5 to 2012 show a different P/N than the earlier trucks:

From Geno's catalog the 2007.5 to 2012:

http://www.genosgarage.com/GATES-422...o/GATES-42291/

and the 1998.5 to early 2007 pumps:

Do a search it's not hard to change them.

Good luck.

Update - replaced the wp with a new Napa TruFlow ($90). Appears to have solved the the overheat issue. The old unit looked ok but did not spin as easy as the new one. Already replaced the thermostat, hoses, belt, and flushed.
Thanks for the assist everyone.
