Ok if this works you can see a white one at the right of the pic and a black one to the left on the other side of the cross member. I had to shrink it down but I think its still a good pic of what we are talking about

Welder,,,, Yea,,,Great Picture..... They said they were going to run a hose from each fitting and T it off in the middle. Then run the bottom part of the T down between the Tank and Muffler heat Shield close to the Tank. I can see how they would do that from your picture. Man......This truck in the picture must of really got alot of water in it without a Bed over the tank.
Thanks TCB

Is it just me or does this hack all of you off. I mean give me a break they put a tank that allows water in on a 4X4 and expect water to never eneter the tank!

COME ON DC

Water in Diesel!!!! Here is the simple equation for that

WATER+DIESEL …….HOSED=YES

Sorry for the rant guys i couldnt help it.

Welder, I have read of several problems of excessive water in 03, 04 CTD on other sites. I will post the info there also with a link to your pics. I'm sure more owners will respond in a few days.

I have a question. What keeps fuel from coming out of the fitting on fillup?

I don't know if its a check valve or why fuel doesn't come out. I read on one post, and the guy got a lot of ribbing for his wording. He said he could suck and or blow air through the nipple

You got me a bit paranoid now. I don't make a habit of going 4 wheeling in mud and water, but sometimes I have to. Is this something I can check for w/o pulling the tank? I have access to a lift if that would help.

I'm pretty sure you can get under the truck and see it with an inspection mirror and a light. A lift would make it alot easier.

I drive about 100 miles a day. I would drain the separator when I got to work and when I got home, as I started seeing less water I went to once a day, then every tank.
