Welder for President!

Maybe we should hold free elections and replace TOP as the DTR dictator! We can all vote for WELDER!

Okay, the coup is over, the revolution was crushed, TOP is still the big kuhuna.

STAR stands for service technical resource center and is for dealership technicians to get technical assistance and to order expensive and/or frequently replaced parts

I read that before and I had the WIF coming on all the time. When I had the truck on the hoist I noticed about 2" of snow and ice sitting on top of the thank. Too little too late though...the WIF is toast. New one goes int his week, so do the hoses to elevate the vents.

WIF = Water In Fuel Sensor
WIFE = soon to be Feb 28 in Mexico!

Is this a one way valve? Filling up the tank wouldn't fuel be running out of the nipple? Or is it a one way valve that's suction only?

I just had my tank down last month installing a 1/2" pick-up tube and the nipples on the top of mine had red caps on them.

I wonder what all that water does to the fuel system? The first time my truck was in there they said it looked like someone put a water hose to the tank.
Water in Fuel sensor must not be working now.

If this is at all true, it is a design DEFECT of the worst kind: very predictable, very inexpensive to fix upfront and very expensive to deal with after the fact. In fact, it should be the subject of an immediate recall. Shame on you DaimlerSchysler!

Went to Dodge place today where my truck is for Water in Fuel and took these 2 pictures. I gave them the information from the site here and now I am waiting for an answer for what they are going to do. The pictures shows the recess area where the water collects and then flows down to the fuel by the end of the white fitting.

Pictures might not show untill DieselTruckresoure.com approves them. I also put them in my Member's Photo Gallery if they don't show up later.

Welder,
When they approve the picture in the Gallery Photo area, There will be a Picture Link at the bottom of the infomation about the picture. It is between img and /img with the brackets on both sides. Copy into mouse and paste it into message. This text will only be seen when you are signed into "Your" member photo area. Does this help?

TCBnc, I edited the links for your photos after they got approved.

The links you had didn't work with the photos, as they were links to the unapproved ones.

Thanks for the great pics! Are the vent needed?

Could you use a 1/4 gas hose with 2 bolts and a couple of hose clamps on the other end to plug them?
