warranty issues

I want to put an exhaust on my truck but I was wondering if it does anything to my warranty by the way gas gauge is finally fixed and truck is home I think I found a decent dealership to go to now. 04 3500 short bed 4x4

I may get flamed for this....but...
I think if you modify your truck in any way you give DC a loophole to void your warranty.
I think in the States you have the Moss? law that states the mod must be the cause of a failure.
Having said that , can most people afford the lawyer if DC decides to fight the case.

For almost any use ,these trucks make more than eneogh HP and torque for anything they were designed for.
If you have the money or if the truck is a hobby, pulls,drags and such,then have fun, but it is unreasonable to expect a company to cover a product that is altered beyond it's design parameters.
Not to say you should'nt do it....just expect to be your own warranty.

I don't want to start an argument but you don't have to pay for the attorney if you have the moss act in your state. The manufacturer will have to pay for it.. I know because I am dealing with a manufacturer right now!!
