Need help in getting a new one piece driveshaft what the heck is the proper number for an 05 quad 4x4 long box? Is it 52123220 AB? I read the 200 reply thread started 2 years ago just want to hear from somebody with the same truck. Thanks.

For me it is the 2000rpm vibration that drives me nuts. Had the drive shaft balanced twice. Finaly took it off and went for a drive in front wheel drive and all was smooth. So pulling the trigger on one piece.

I was getting the vibration like you and was getting a clunck when starting from a daed stop. Trans changed gears wierd. My carrier bearing was shot and so were my u-joints. I figured if I replaced all worn parts myself, I would spend almost as much as a new one piece. I think I paid in all for the one piece $560.00 and that's with shipping from www.dodgetruckparts.com. I dealt with Brian and was a big help. As for your '95 Dodge, I have no idea which shaft you would need.
If you do make the switch, make sure you use some loc-tite thread lock on those 4 flange bolts when you instal your new shaft. Took me 30 min. to swap them out.

These are the correct numbers for the 48RE equipped trucks:

52123161AA 1 8 42, 81 DG8 Has Yoke With Damper
52123161AB 1 8 42, 81 DG8 Has Yoke Without Damper

The number posted:

52123220AA 1 8 42, 81 DG7 Has Yoke With Damper
52123220AB 1 8 42, 81 DG7 Has Yoke Without Damper

is for the HDRFE auto trans (aka 68RFE). Not sure there is a length difference but something is different between the 2.

[DG8]=Transmission-4-Speed Automatic,48RE

[DG7] = HD Automatic HDRFE Transmission
