VIN(s) located on 2006 engine?
Hey guys, I'm wondering where to find the VIN number(s) on a long block 5.9l engine I'm looking at? Is there one or two?

the onlynumbers i know are on the valve cover maybe something on the block . call cummins and ask where and what to look fo

what u want is the cpl or engine serial # and its not stamped into the block its on the ecm.

It's on the Driver side of the Valve Cover

So without the ECM the only numbers I can get off the engine are from the valve cover?

a cpl# is all u should need, when ordering parts from cummins they have always asked for my esn but a cpl# is good too.
