Vibration ?

I'm getting a slight vibration through the steering wheel and can feel it in the fuel peddel. It starts at aprox 48MPH through 60MPH. It's most noticable at 55MPH. I've had the tires rotated and balanced and the tires balanced a second time with maby a slight inprovement but it's still there. Any Ideas??

You mean the one at the rear differential?
What year is your truck?

I have the same issue. Was going to do a little investigating this weekend to see if I couldn't find the problem. I'll let you know if I find anything.

Yes, the one at the rear differential. My truck is an 06 MegaCab.

My first set of joints were toast in under 20k miles. Had a little vibe at speed but hit the breaks to slow down and Holy God the whole dash would shake like the whole truck was gonna fall apart. Those AAM joints are junk....at best. Get Spicer Life's or some Precisions....I've had very good luck with Precisions but others swear against them.

I guess it's a crap shoot.

Get the truck up to about 70mph, put it in neutral, and let it coast down until the starts. Let it keep coasting until the vibration stops.

If the vibration is the same, it's probably in the suspension, drive shaft, or diff. If the vibrations changes significantly, it's probably the engine, trans, or transfer case.
