UPDATED! Still have whine while turning!!
Guys,
Thought I would give a little update from my previous post "Whine while turning".
First I added PS fluid as it was a little low, but didn't help.
Next thought the PS pump was gone, as this was about the only response I got and it made sense. Ordered a new pump and put it on. Intial test drive didn't hear the whine, BUT today whine is back and strong as ever
Not sure what else it could be: wheel bearings? ball joints? U joints? Drive belt? The list could go on I guess, but what do you guys think??
I'm at wits end, run out of ideas. Any that you all would like to share would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks...

The lines have been known to "vibrate" causing a noise. Try to make sure they aren't touching anything and I think there was a tsb about a new line with a weight on it to absorb the vibrations. Can't say if it was a whine noise or not though. Can you get it to do it pushing the brakes too, or only turning the wheel?

I've had three dodge CTD's and all but one of them made a slight (psst) when turning sharp or turning at low rpms . My 2006 does it the worst (3 dealers told me it was normal), the 2002 (I miss that truck alot) did it little, and the 1996 makes no sounds. I will say the noise seems to be louder the hotter or colder the temperature outside is. I dont know, but that might have something to do with it. I will
Me too...only makes noise when turning....brakes seem fine.
Yes I was referring to the serpentine belt, going to replace it tomorrow. Then I figured I would have the tires balanced and rotated so I could take a look at the front end parts

I just don't know where else to look...
Keep the ideas coming....Thanks for all so far!

My 2007 Dodge whines when turning at low speed.
My wifes Chevy has the rack and pinion steering and whines also. Her truck had the infamous "steering clunk" which the dealer under warranty replaced the pump, rack, steering shaft and bearings. It still whines, but no more "clunk". Dealership (same for both the Dodge and Chevy) said the whine was "normal" for rack and pinion steering trucks.
I have 4,000 miles and an extended warranty, so I will "wait and see"...

Now that I've listened to the "noise" for a couple days, I think I can reclassify the "noise" as more of a chirping/sqeeling sound vs. a whine.
Does that ring any bells with anybody????
