I don't know what size you ended up with (fix your sig) but in my 285/75s I run 55 front and 45 rear unloaded on the highway and around town. 55 or 60 all around with a load. 45 front and 35 rear in the snow.

Thumbs up

Sorry about that guys. I updated my sig. but i bought the Toyo open country A/T in a 285/70/17. right now i have 80 psi in them. the place i bought the tires from only put 42 psi in them. So do you think 80 psi is to much? Thanks Mopar72

80 PSI sounds right if you want to carry the maximum the tire is rated for, or you want to jar your teeth out. Otherwise you might lower it a bit.

Running 55-60psi front and 45psi rear. Even with 45psi in the rear the tread doesn't make full contact with the pavement.

Most guys put 10 psi more in the front than the back due to the extra 1100 lbs of engine up there. I need to check but I think I'm 55 up front 45 out back. I try to put just enough air in them so they wear evenly all the way across the tread. When they're new you can watch the little "strings" that stick up from the molding process wear off in the first hundred miles or so. They'll wear off in the middle first if you have too much air or on the edges first if not enough. More air = less rolling resistance and better economy but I like mine to wear evenly..

I am running 65psi all around now, when they were first mounted they were between 75-80 psi and felt a little floaty.
