Hey guys, Has anyone in Louisiana or East Texas had a turbo rebuilt? My Shaft bearing is starting to go out and the wheel is starting to rub the housing so it is time to get it rebuilt. I am looking for any info ya'll have on getting one rebuilt. Also, if anyone has had one rebuilt, what kind of dollar figures am I looking at. It is the stock turbo on a '04.5 Dodge. Thanks

 

I think if it is rubbing it is going to be a HIGH$$$$ repair. I would try any Cummins repair shop. If they can't repair they can point you in the right direction I would think!

There is a pump shop in Beaumont I assume they do turbo work too. I heard about them last fall when my wife and I were in Vinton. Sorry I dont have the number the guys at the Napa in Vinton can give it to you. There is a shop in Sulpher that sells Edge products he may be able to point you in the right direction. I think its called Universal Diesel

 

If the impeller is rubbing the housing, it may not be rebuildable

 

I had mine on my 03 done by Hightech turbo cost me 325,and if they get it in the morning they can send it back out that same day,Also I think majestic turbo is out in texas also they are about the same price.
