Turbo question
I had my intake tube off of the turbo recently. While I was looking at the blades on the turbo, I noticed a film that looked like fine dirt on the blades. It looked kind of like a household fan that hasn't been cleaned in a while. Meaning the leading edge of the blades had a small amount of this film and the pattern got larger toward the outer edge of the blade. I rubbed some off with my finger to see if it was dirt. It didn't feel gritty or anything, but it definitely rubbed off on my finger. I have about 8500 miles on the motor and was thinking that it's still pretty new to be having a "dirty" turbo. So here's the question: Is this normal or should the blades still be perfectly clean? The intake tube didn't seem to have any dust or dirt in it and the filter looks fine (no dirt on the outlet side of it). I'm kinda starting to worry about it. Thanks in advance.
