turbo question

Just replaced boost hoses w/BD boost hoses and noticed boost tube from compressor to intercooler had a little bit of oil in it. The oil had been there for awhile because it was very thick and gummy. There was no signs of oil on compressor wheel and none in the intercooler. Wondering if a little bit of oil is acceptable. I do have an exhaust brake and wondering if backpressure created by exhaust brake could contribute to this. Truck is 04.5 w/16,000 miles on it. Truck has lots of mods but horsepower is very moderate. Did a search before asking but couldn't find any info to satisfy my question. Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Its normal to have a small amount of oil in your boost hoses, and you may even see a little in your intercooler. I had oil in my factory boost hoses when I changed out my turbo at 11,000 miles. And then had oil soon after in my new BD boost hoses when I ajusted my Twins, no big deal. Now if it starts to gather and fill your intercooler then you have a problem.
