turbo

turbo silencer ring what is it if its removed what benefit do i get

Where is the silencer ring located, I would like to remove mine for a bit more turbo whistle.

remove the black corrugated hose from the airbox to turbo inlet, dont forget about your air temp sensor on the hose. The ring is the stamped steel disc inside the compressor inlet, GENTLY pry the snap ring out of the inlet with a small screwdriver and then the silencer ring should fall out, if not use your finger inside the center hole to help it. Put the hose back on, dont forget about your air temp sensor on the hose. Should take all of about 5 minutes.

could you post some pics i would hate to mess up even thought it sounds fairly simple
