Can someone tell me at what rpm the stock turbo starts to spin thanks---m

 

It starts turning at an idle, just doesn't windup until more exhaust goes through it. The more exhaust the faster it turns.

 

thanks Papaduck ,The reason i asked was i drilled and tapped a hole in the collector,I'm sure some fine stuff fell in the collector but some have said not to worry it won't get suck up at an idle it will just blow out the exaust pipe. what do you think??

 

I would not worry about it. I think most damage to the turbo will happen when it is turning at high speed.
