true flow air filter drop in
true flow air filter drop in
So I was doing the pre-check things before heading out for vacation in South Carolina and checked the air filter. Truck has 5000 miles on it and man it was trashed already. I couldn't believe it so I headed out to get another cheap paper filter. My local auto parts store had only frams and K&N's which I did even want to think about having to put one of those in. So I asked if they had tru-flow and they did. Payed $49 for one, came home put it in, took it for a drive, and wow what a difference it made. Turbo was definatly a lot louder with the toque tube and silencer ring gone. I was wondering why I was getting so much soot on my bumper. So for anyone looking for a good drop in but don't want to sacrifice blow-by with the cotton/gauze filters, go with a tru-flow.
AMSOIL is the only other drop in that is a true foam filter. So you have 2 choises to choose from.
By the way you should go back and purchase another one so that when it comes time to clen the one that is in there it will have suffient time to dry, about 2 days of natuaral drying.
