truck wont start
truck wont start
truck is an 03 cummins, had it since new and never had a problem with starting it, truck has been sitting since Sat. morning, has sat over the weekend in the cold plenty of times and never had a problem, the last couple of days it has been 0 deg. this morning I went to bring my daughter to school and the truck started, ran for a min and shut off, every time I tried to start it, it would only run for 5-25 seconds and shut off. Added stuff to the fuel in case it was gelled up and plugged it in, still would stall out, one of the batteries tested dead so I replaced it, still did the same thing, replaced the fuel filter, started up and ran for 20 seconds or so and stalled, now it will not start at all.
I plow with this truck and we are getting snow on Wed. and need to get it running fast. anyone know what else I should do
I am stressed
thanks

It sounds like you just had a bit of gelled fuel in the fuel lines. Happens from time to time when it gets cold in places where it doesn't normally get cold, or if you drive infrequently and still have that tank of fuel you purchased in July. If you're not running winterized fuel, straight #2 diesel will start to show wax crystals well above zero, and is a solid mass of jello at -10. Even pouring Diesel 911 in your tank won't immediately solve the problem as it takes awhile to work through the lines, through the filter, and through your pump. If you treat the fuel before it gets cold (Power Services white bottle works well for me) it's much easier to stop it from happening than to fix it after it does.
