Truck is stuttering when slowing down
Truck is stuttering when slowing down
So I changed my fuel filter about 2000miles ago and now whenever I slow down to stop the truck seems to have a lot of hesitation and stuttering. I didn't think that the fuel filter would have that big of a deal and thought it would actually help if anything. I have no real idea what filter I picked up, I just went into Napa and told them what truck I had and they gave me a filter.
I am also getting codes P0514, P0336 and P0483. These things are leading me to believe that there is something wrong with the charging system, and about 3 months ago I changed my batteries over to optimas because I have killed about 3 sets of batteries already. There is no issues with my lights or anything else when I am slowing, because I thought it would be my alternator, but....
Anyways, if anyone has seen this before, or can has any info that would be great as I am not even near home and still have 6 days of work to do up here, but do not want to screw the truck up by still driving it.

Got it into the shop in Lloyd today, a miracle I know, and they are saying it probably is a seizing U-joint. Going to get it completely looked at and fixed tom morrow. Hopefully covered by warranty also. Give you more info when I find out Red Baron.
Thanks for the PM RB checked it out, pretty sweet.
It was the rear U joint that was seized up. No idea why they can not put grease nipples in these **** things.
I guess I was getting the vibration when I was slowing because if it was spinning at a high velocity it was not detectable, but slower and
crazy good times.
Check your U joints, hopefully all it is.
P.S. Thanks to Denham Dodge Chrysler in Lloydminter, Alberta for helping me out and fitting me into their already busy service garage. Was under warranty and did not have any issues at all. Talk to Cody...maybe Cory, great guy at the service desk!
