if i am not mistaken you have and edge ez. i do too and sometimes it causes a brain toot in the system complete with surging idel. also to add that it only does it when the weather turns cool. may or may not be the problem for you but just another thought.

Hmmmm...I don't really think it is related to the EZ, but I suppose anything is possible. I've never experienced any kind of surging idle or anything like that. Only this....and only a few times....and only at one specific location.

I've also heard of the EZ surging problem. Hoss, stay away from those whatagarbage burgers! Also don't let your truck idle 'for hours' at all - bad for the engine. Hope you figure it out!

Yeah, yeah, yeah....idling is bad. I've heard it a thousand times. I still let it idle though...and I still refuse to use synthetic oil.

When it's cold I let it high idle while I'm eating lunch. When it's hot I let it idle at its normal idle RPM.

I don't think that's the source of my problem though.
